Kids in Parks : Who We Serve

Since 1998, Kids in Parks has provided environmental education to more than 6,000
disadvantaged elementary, middle, and high school students throughout San
Francisco.

  • More than 90 percent of students represent cultural minorities, including Asian
American, Latino, African American, and Pacific Islander.
  • Nearly 60 percent of the students qualify for subsidized school meal programs due to
    their low-income status
  • More than 5 percent come from special education and special needs programs

Among the San Francisco public schools we serve are:

  • Visitacion Valley Middle School
  • Visitacion Valley Elementary School
  • Horace Mann Middle School
  • El Dorado Elementary School
  • Herbert Hoover Middle School
